Metal Panels: MIRROR METALS and Other Suppliers
The Walt Disney Concert Hall at The Music Center in Los Angeles is the new home for the Los Angeles Philharmonic. It was completed in 2003.
The original plans called for a stone exterior, but delays caused a change of plans to use less expensive metal panels.
Most of the building’s exterior was designed for a stainless steel matte finish. However, highly polished mirror-finished panels were used for the W.M. Keck Foundation Children’s Room and the Founder’s Room. The concave sections of the Founder’s Room walls amplify the reflective qualities of these surfaces.
Mirror Metals supplied various exterior and interior metal panels with finishes in #8 Non-Directional, Vibration, and Bead Blast. We also supplied Alloy 385 Bronze tubing for the interior handrail.
